We are hiring Bakers! This job is based in Sisters, Oregon with some roles taking place in Bend and greater Central Oregon. The opportunity is part-time to begin, with opportunities to increase hours.

Market Brand Ambassador & Sales Associate
Part-Time | Seasonal (May–October)
Leaven & Love – Central Oregon
About the Role
We’re looking for a warm, reliable, and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Brand Ambassador & Sales Associate at local farmers markets. You’ll represent Leaven & Love in the community, sharing our handcrafted, nourishing food with customers and embodying the heart and soul of our brand.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in sales and customer service who loves people, good food, and working independently in a dynamic setting.
Availability

Must be available Saturdays for the Northwest Crossing Farmers Market (starting in June)

Ideally also available Wednesdays for the Bend Farmers Market (starts in May)

Approx. 8–20 hours/week
Key Responsibilities

Engage customers warmly and knowledgeably about our products and values

Cultivate meaningful relationships with market customers

Set up and break down booth independently and efficiently
-
Transport market equipment and baked goods from our commercial kitchen in Sisters to Bend (and back after the market)

Keep the booth clean, organized, and inviting throughout the day

Communicate a market summary and any issues with the owners post-market

Respond to emails/calls from the team during business hours as needed

Support additional duties as assigned
Growth Opportunities
We’re committed to growth—yours and ours. There is potential for expanded responsibilities over time, including opportunities in kitchen production and/or wholesale sales and account management. While this is a seasonal role (May–October), it may continue into fall and winter depending on mutual fit and interest.
Who You Are

Rooted in Central Oregon and planning to stay for at least the next 6 months

Friendly, self-motivated, and punctual

Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working outdoors in variable weather

Excited to share delicious, nourishing food with others

Able to transport equipment and product reliably

Oregon Food Handler’s Card (or willing to obtain upon hire)

Strong communicator, both in-person and via phone/email
Compensation

Starts at $18/hour, with a performance-based raise after two months
Bread Baker
In this position we are looking for a trustworthy individual with experience working in the food service and/or food production industry to craft gluten-free sourdough bread, and other gluten-free baked goods out of our commercial kitchen located in Sisters, Oregon.
Job Responsibilities:
- Tally orders and plan production accordingly
- Weigh, measure, & mix flours & other ingredients
- Shape dough and ensure an accurate baking process
- Package bread
- Manage ingredient inventory and report needs to management
- Deliver bread to accounts in Central Oregon
- Maintain a tidy work space throughout production and thoroughly clean up space at the end of production process
- Respect other users of common spaces and kitchen
- Communicate with owners about issues that arise such as hazards or conflicts
- Respond to emails and phone calls from owners and managers promptly during business hours
- Other duties as assigned
Availability: Candidate should be available 15-20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, beginning promptly after being hired.
Growth Opportunity: We are happy to evaluate and provide growth opportunities and expansion of responsibilities at any time, including opportunities working at Farmers Markets and/or delivering bread.
Required Life Circumstances/Skills/Qualifications:
- Intention of living in Central Oregon for the next 12 consecutive months
- Be punctual and self-managing.
- Positive, engaging, warm personality
- Must be able to carry 55 pounds
- Have a reliable form of transportation and willingness to be reimbursed for mileage accrued during delivery of goods
- Have a cell phone
- Have a current Oregon Food Handlers Card or willing to obtain an Oregon Food Handlers Card upon hiring
- A strong work ethic and passion for sharing positive experiences with customers and coworkers
- Efficient organizational and planning skills
- Familiarity with professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, scales, ovens, and dishwashers.
- Understanding of food safety practices
Pay: Depends on qualifications, no less than $18/hour.
